Zoë Brennan-Whitmore is an award-winning director, producer, and writer from Dublin, Ireland. In her career so far, she’s collaborated with top companies like Samson Films and Shinawil and is now Creative Director at the female-led Heritage.In 2022, Zoë snagged the Virgin Media Discovers Award and was named 'Best Producer' at the Emerging Director Awards. That same year, she won the DLR First Frames Short Film Fund, graduated with distinction from Screen Ireland’s Advanced Producing diploma, and was nominated for a 1.4 European Directors Award.

Her debut short, UNHINGED, premiered to a sold-out crowd at the Dublin International Film Festival in February 2023 and has since scored four awards, including Best Short and Best Director at the Dublin International Comedy Film Festival.

Her other shorts, SOULMATE WANTED and BABY STEPS, released in Summer 2023, are making waves on the festival circuit. SOULMATE WANTED premiered at the Academy Award® - Qualifying Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival, and BABY STEPS won ‘Best Debut Short’ at Galway International Film Festival 2023, ‘Best New Talent’ at Kerry International Film Festival 2023, and ‘Best Comedy’ at Fastnet Film Festival 2024.

Zoë is currently developing UNHINGED as a TV series with Screen Ireland and Virgin Media.
